Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. Donates $1 Million to 911 Relief Efforts

Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: HOV), one of the nation's leading homebuilders, today said that on behalf of its employees and business partners that it would commit $1 million toward relief efforts for those impacted by the terrorist attacks. Hovnanian is proud to say that their associates and their business partners have volunteered to make contributions towards the relief efforts as well.  

 



Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. Donates $250,000 to Katrina Relief Efforts

Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. committed more than $250,000 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts, and the  company’s 5,000 associates made personal contributions of an additional $214,000 - for a grand total of $464,000.



State-of-the-art Heart Center

 On April 27, 2006, ground was broken on a new, state-of-the-art Heart Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia. The Clinical Cardiology Center on the Fourth floor of the heart center building has been made possible by a gift from the Hovnanian family. The new facility will provide comprehensive and unmatched services in heart care, making it one of the top heart care centers in the world.



Riverview's New K. Hovnanian Pavillion

The construction of the facility was made possible through a generous gift from Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. and Kevork S. Hovnanian.  The creation of Riverview's new Emergency Care Center was begun early in 2003, requiring a new wing be added to the existing hospital. The wing, called the K. Hovnanian Pavilion, will also house a new and expanded Critical Care Center. Both the Emergency Care Center and the Critical Care Center will include the most advanced patient monitoring technology in the area as well as vast improvements in both the size of the areas and comfort of environment. The Alton A. Hovnanian Emergency Care Center will include 35 treatment rooms (expanded from 18 rooms), and more than twice the space of the former  emergency department, creating more privacy and comfort for patients.
